Operating Principle & Structure
The DITO PCAP touch panel is based on the concept of capacitive touch panel. With two adding sets of transparent wires (X, Y) and driving lines that are in different layers, a capacitor node will be formed at the intersection due to they are perpendicular to each other. When the current passes through one of the wires, the other wire and the electronic circuit will connect while the change of the capacitance value is detected. During operation, the controller sequentially supplies current to the drive lines in different layers, so a specific electric field will form between each node and the wire. When a finger or touch medium approaches, the controller can quickly detect the change in capacitance between the node and the wire, and then confirm the position of the touch. Since the transparent wire forms a three-dimensional electric field on the panel that is different from the surface capacitance, the touch can still be operated without actual contact, so we can say, PCAP technology is with the Z-axis resolution capability.

Vandal Proof Design
To meet safety regulation requirements, products with vandal proof design are provided. The glass substrate of the touch panel must meet the vandal proof specification when it is broken. Ensuring that the fragments will not splash out and injure people when the glass is cracked.
